Christmas Lights Program

Our largest and most recognized accomplishment is the annual Christmas lights that illuminate the Village streets during the holiday season. Former Mayor, Mary Ross, established a committee within the WFBPA to undertake the task of raising funds to purchase Christmas lights. Through personal visits and solicitation, Mayor Ross and her committee raised over $15,000 towards purchasing these beautiful wreathes. Over the years, the Association has taken great care and pride in maintaining our wreathes.

Upon time to refurbish, wreathes are refitted with red and white LED lights not only to enhance their beauty, but also to improve their energy efficiency. New bows and ornaments are added and any wreath that loses its voluptuous shape will be uplifted with new garland. All local businesses, professionals and community members can consider donating to our “Operation Facelift” fund by sponsoring the cost of refurbishing a wreath.

A $75 donation for the refurbishment of a wreath can be made in honor of a business, recognition of an employee, in memory of a friend, a loved one, a colleague, or anyone special to an individual or business.
