Business for Banners Program
In the Spring of 2002, the Wappingers Falls Business & Professional Association initiated our first Business for Banners program as a means of expressing our renewed spirit of patriotism following the events of September 11, 2001. The response from our membership and other local businesses was overwhelming. These original banners were displayed in our Village for over 8 years for community members and visitors to enjoy.
In 2010, it was decided that the time had come to retire these banners and refresh our community spirit with a new series of designs. The new banner program is a series of 8 scenes from the Our Village coloring book created by local artist Theresa Morgan. Each Banner highlights a particular building or scene from the Village. Banners can be purchased and sponsors names are imprinted along with the chosen design. The banners are displayed throughout the Village from late Spring until late Fall. WFBPA members who participate in the program will have their banners maintained and remounted yearly at no additional cost. Non-members may also purchase a banner, and will be billed yearly for the maintenance.
